Dunlap >Sonic Drive-In
ice cream! yummy!. They make great ice cream dishes which is the main reason I go there. Another reason to go there is to not have to get the kids out of the car and deal with childrens behavioral issues in public--just order the food and eat. I like that. I don't like how the burgers sit on my stomach--like a brick. Don't get me wrong, they taste good but that food boggs me down more than any other burger joint. I still occasionally eat it if I've been keeping up on my workouts, though. Don't do it before a workout though if you don't want to feel like your carrying an extra ten pounds.
Retro-outfitted servers deliver burgers, malts and sandwiches to your car at this '50s-style drive-in chain..
Founded in 1953 as a hamburger-and-root-beer stand, this nostalgic eatery is known for its intercom ordering system and roller-skating carhops. While servers rarely roller skate anymore, the famous made-to-order, all-beef burgers and thick malts are still menu favorites. Other signature items include Toaster sandwiches (made with thick Texas toast), extra-long chili and cheese hot dogs and hand-battered onion rings and tater tots. Desserts include chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes and fresh fruit slushes.
