My favorite place to dine. Panera usually comes to mind first when thinking of dining out in Hixso or Downtown. Quality and taste is consistently great. Service is professional with a smile and I can tell everyone is trying to please and be cordial. Never had a bad experience at any Panera Bread in numerous cities. Chattanooga's PBs are no exception and perhaps a cut above the others.

Customer Policies. I was recently approached by the GM of the Panera Bread on Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga, TN informing me that a female employee had accused me of inappropriate conduct. Certain of who the employee was and knowing it was an unjustified accusation, I asked the GM to allow me the opportunity to face my accuser. Despite the fact that I offered that the meeting be at a time of her choosing with whomever she cared to have present including the police, I was told that no, it was not going to happen.

If that is the policy, it is the policy, but if it is the policy should a store manager be allowed to approach a customer with the accusation or should other employees be asked without pointing out or naming the customer if they have experienced similar problems?

If the customer is approached then at that pointer the customer should have the right to face his accuser.

I would hope that this serves as a lesson to others to not even consider talking with a Panera Store manager until they have identified the party making the accusation. If you have nothing to hide, tell the manager to call the police!

All baked goods--bagels, muffins, two dozen kinds of bread--are made fresh on the premises. Sandwiches include turkey-artichoke panini and Asiago roast beef, plus standards like chicken salad and smoked turkey. Soups change daily, but popular choices like broccoli and cheese, chicken noodle and French onion are always on the menu.

U Pick 2. I keep going back because there are plenty of things to choose from if you are vegetarian. In the winter I enjoy relaxing in one of the easy chairs next to the fireplace while I munch on my sandwich and hot soup. Deserves a weekly visit.
