Accommodating & Delicious. My family & I (11 people total) were on vacation in Chattanooga the weekend of June 26-28, 2010. We were looking for somewhere to eat and had been told about several restaurants downtown. We drove by some of those places but could not find parking available for 2 vans, one of which needed handicap access. We drove around for a while and happened upon Hillbilly Willie's. We walked in and almost walked back out because it is a small restaurant and they were almost full. However, they insisted they could accommodate our large party and got us enough tables together that everyone could be seated together. It was a little awkward due to the fact that everyone had to go up to the counter to order, but it was well worth it. The food was delicious!!! I had the bbq chicken sandwich with fries...excellent! My sister ordered the ribs and said they were the best she has ever eaten!!! Everyone in my party had wonderful food. The only problem we experienced was that they had run out of fries and some of my party had to wait quite some time to receive them. But overall, it was wonderful! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good service and good bbq.

This barbeque place is a unique find~!. What a charming place! The day I found this place, there was a photographer in there taking pictures of their food they said someone was doing a review in the Chattanooga Times Free Press in March..I can see why, I got the ribs with dry rub & mild on the side, the owner makes his dry rub and sauces from scratch, I bought a jar I loved it so much, the potato salad was more like a mashed potato not dry and clumpy and they had corn on the cobb smoked out back on the smoker. I got home made corn bread too. This wll be one of my favorites I will tell everyone about. Food came out fast so I didn't spend alot of my time waiting. I didn't have room to eat the desserts but want to try the home made banana puddin.

OMG! YOU GOTTA TRY THIS PLACE,AMAZING!. So I kept hearing, you want delicious, awesome bbq, you have to try this place.Okay, I am so glad I did. Now my favorite restaraunt, sick of chains so this is a very welcome change, worth every dime. The folks are so freindly, you can tell with it being family owned & operated they really care that everything is perfect. I heard them telling one customer if there's anything at all you are not satisfied with, let us know..Wow, most places don't even care anymore..customer service is athing of the past, not here..oh my gosh try the desserts! the ribs, fell apart, moist, juicy, awesome!

Great Food and Great Service. Hillbilly Willy's is definitely a place to try if you've never eaten there. The hand pulled pork is tender with a good flavor. Unlike another reviewer, I've never had anything less than an absolutely full plate of food. Ten minutes is not that long of a wait for good food. The ribs are the best I've ever eaten and the potato salad rocks! There is usually a big group of us that goes about once a month or so and we are always treated to good food and good service. And if you have enough room after eating all the food on your plate, try their desserts! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Disappointment. I was disappointed in the ribs after all the glowing reviews. and the high price of $13.00. The meat was of good quality and tender, but it had very little flavor, not the great taste of wood-smoked ribs. I could do as good roasting them in the oven with barbecue sauce. The potato salad was also less than flavorful.

If you like good bar-b-que, you must try this!. We were on our way home from a trip to see our son in Gulfport Mississippi and stopped for dinner at Hillbilly Willy's, Chattanooga. What a great meal and excellant service. We had the dry rub ribs with sauce on the side which were fall off the bone delicious! While you are there try the potato salad it is really tasty! Nice family run business that deserves much success. I will be ordering the ribs and sauce on line to enjoy at home.

Best BBQ in town. If you haven`t tried this place, do yourself a favor & try it. They serve the best BBQ in Chattanooga, the freshest vegetables & wonderful home made deserts. The service is 2nd to none also. Very friendly.

Amazing BBQ. I have never been a BBQ eater. Never really cared for it until I found this restaurant. I have never tasted BBQ like this. The flavor is to die for and it is fall off the bone tender. I have visited there several times and have never had a bad experience. The service is the best. I would want this staff if I had my own restaurant. Not only is the BBQ delicious, the side items and desserts are wonderful. My plate is always stacked high and I have never left hungry. I highly recommend Hillbilly Willy"s, even if you do not think you like BBQ. I sure am glad I did.

Sorry I tried it. I was very disappointed in this place. First they was already out of ribs by 6 PM. I ordered the Pork Sandwich with seasoned fries, which took a long time to get out to me, over 10 mins to put pork on a bun and fries on a plate. When my food came out I was shocked on how little food I got for $7. The pork sandwich was the size of a kids burger with a small hand full of fries. The fries was cold and only two fries had seasoning on it. Guess the 10 min wait time was not due to the fries cooking
