Took my minivan here a couple months ago when my car over-heated and my radiator literally burst. As a result, my engine was completely fried, so I was looking at major repairs. Called around and the price these guys gave me beat everywhere else by a long shot. The mechanics were friendly & got me back behind the wheel in no time.
The mechanics here are so nice and kind. They took care of my car after it randomly decided to stop on me. They got her up and running and patiently worked with me on the cost. Im so thankful for their assistance.
So I brought my car here to get my transmission checked out and the alignment fixed. Well not only did they take care of my transmission and realigned my car, they even added in some new tires. So, I don't really see my self going any where else but here.
I brought my car here when I noticed that it just wouldn't stop over heating no matter what I did to prevent it. So after talking to a close friend, I brought it here. I'll admit, I did some research on this place and after reading some of the reviews, I was a little scared to take my car here. But I took a chance and must say that i'm very glad that I did. They told me exactly what the problem was and why it was over heating and what would have to be done to fix and prevent the problem from happening. When I asked how much it would be I was a little shocked at the initial price but I discussed with him that i was going through some personal issues and he was kind enough to work with me.
The mechanics at High-Tech fixed my car and sent me back on the road feeling confident in the repair.
I would gladly recommend them to any of my friends.
I had my Tranny worked on by another shop and then something else supposedly went wrong with it again 6 months later. I work on vehicles all the time and I know that when you get into an area of the vehicle you can see other things that might need to be replaced soon so you either do the work then or at least make a comment about it. I spent a ton of money at the other shop and when I returned with the new problem they just acted like I still had another ton of money to spend on it. There was no way that the problem was not obvious when they had it the first time so I simply could not trust them.
he identified the new problem right away and the estimate that he gave me WAS EXACTLY what it cost!!! And he also told me that since he was not able to completely remove the tranny and go over the whole thing, (I didn't have the money for him to do that), but he told me anyway that he felt everything was fine but he couldn't guarantee that something else might not go wrong. That is usually not what people like to hear but I would rather hear that from a mechanic instead of them trying to butter me up or feed me a line of bull unlike the first shop.
I will be going here again if I or anyone in my family needs tranny work!
Do not under any circumstance, bring your car here. Unless you don't want the car anymore. This business is nothing but a scam ran by Jason Reid. If you really want to know about his business, search "Superior Transmission, Columbus, Ga". This was Jason's previous transmission "repair" shop until he was ran out of Georgia. It will tell you anything you need to know.
Hi-Tech has only been in Chattanooga for a little over a year and most (if not all) good reviews you read about them are fabricated by Jason Reid or his employees. You will notice, most good reviews, you cannot view the user profile, or it is the only review they have ever done.
I had a small leak in my car, took it to Jason. He called, two days later and said it would $489 plus a seal ($10) and maybe a pump ($200). I was figuring about $800. I waited three days and didn't hear back. So I began to call. Another week later he finally calls me back and says it will be over $3,300!!!! I told him I did not have that, as it was a minor leak and there were no engine troubles at all, just the leak. He tried to get me in touch with a Title Loan company he does business with.
I know a scam when I see it. I only paid $2,800 for the car; I was not going to pay more to get it fixed. So, he has the car. This man has found a legal way to steal people's cars. Check reviews, it is the same story that happens to every one of the negative reviews you will see. He will most likely respond to this and try to discredit me, because I have seen him do it with several real reviews. I just hope people can see through his lies and not be taken advantage of like I was.
And if it is too late, remember, if you decide to sue him, you have to sue "NEW LIFE ENTERPRISES, INC. dba Hi Tech Transmission". This is one of his many ways to get around what is morally right.
