Big River Grille.
The location down town is a great place to eat although it hard to find a place to park.
The hamilton place location not as good place to eat although you can find a place to park
stay away Hamilton place mall area.
the food i can buy at costco....really bad....we sat for 10 minutes before anyone approached us outside.
started to leave; however someone took our order and the food was unateable (sic) . servers kept talking with the guess and each other about their drinking parties. one young man suggested that he could spark up our marriage. I am not joking.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!. They have the very best salad's in the world!>!>!>!>! They have a jalapeño ranch...OMG...it's to die for!!!!!! TRY IT SOMETIME!
Watch where you sit..
Well, I've dined at the Broad Street location several times with no complaints, but I guess copies are just that: they loose there luster.
On May 8, 2009, when the group of us came in the Hostess, a very nice girl, said it would be a minute although we saw and empty table. She explained that there was no waiter for this area. Well, another waitress went ahead and pushed two tables together as there were 8 of us.
We were seated and told that our waitress would be Brittany. (receipt said Brittany M) Well, when she came to the table the boss explained that we were there to celebrate one of the girls' birthday. Brittany said she would get a birthday cake.
During the meal, I asked for bread as several of the others had mentioned bread not coming out. Brittany says, "I'll bring some out."
We ate, no bread. We waited for the birthday girl to get a cake. We never saw the cake. So we had to get back to work. Rating NO STAR. It doesn't allow for no star. When you go the the grille by Hamilton Place, if you want seervice, sit in any section that isn't Brittany's so she will get the message. It doesn't pay to lie.
Something for everyone.
Over the last 12 years we have visited Big River at least once a month or more. Both lunch and dinner. In that time we have gotten only one dish that was less than delicious and upon notifiying the wait staff they appologetically removed the dish from our check and offered a replacment of our choosing.
The menu always has a dish anyone will appreciate.
Favorite place for day trips to city!!!. We love to come to the city often from Kennesaw, GA. When we do make it to Chattanooga, we always go to Big River. A favorite with us is the micro-brews and their salads and burgers are great too. Fun place to relax after day of sight seeing and fishy viewing. We recommend Big River to everyone we know.
Bad Management. After paying 5.00 for parking we were informed on a Sunday afternoon that they were out of hamburger, crab cakes, chips, and the list went on. Instead of this establishment acknowledging it's poor management skills we were told too bad, given a bill for the 2 beers we drank and left. They were out of all domestic beers so we really had one choice. I am 45 and I have never been to a place in my life that had so little respect for it's patrons. What happen to customer service you will not find it here. I live in Chattanooga and will never recommend the rest. to anyone again. I am so very upset with the management of this establishment I will not be back. I felt so sorry for our waiter he had to attempt to wait on us when the management was incapable of properly running the restaurant.
Big River, Small Tastes. The Big River also means big waits on weekends so be sure to get there early. The best thing we enjoyed were the local brews--the Iron Horse Stout from the sampler was what I enjoyed the most. The food isn't so phenomenal and you probably won't be able to distinguish it from your local TGI Friday's or Ruby Tuesdays fare. The tastes are average and the service seemed a bit too rushed for us--we felt like the server was trying to get rid of us, but being located in the heart of downtown's tourism epicenter, it always remains packed nevertheless. Enjoy a microbrew and shoot some pool while you wait. -KE
