The first Hardee's opened as a walk-up burger restaurant in 1960 in Greenville, N.C. Today, the fast-food chain has locations across the United States and is spreading internationally. Big, beefy burgers--like the 1/3 pound Thickburger--are the stars, along with sides like fries, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Breakfast offerings range from Made From Scratch Biscuits to Big Country Platters: biscuit, pancake, eggs, hash rounds and choice of bacon, ham or sausage.

I Didn't Get What I Paid For. I ordered two thickburger combos and a locarb burger for a carryout. When I got home we sat down to eat I noticed my thick burger had no onion, no lettuce, a puny slice of tomato an the edge of the bun. My wife and I enjoy Hardee's burgers but we normally don't go to this particular location. We will probably go to another location next time where we will get our money's worth.
