Friendly staff & top notch service. Once again, another amazing experience. The staff is always friendly! The aveda tea when you come in is delicious. They have so many little "touches" to add to your experience. Studio 59 is my sanctuary!
After I visited my god- daughter and seen her hair......I WOULD NEVER let anyone in that Salon touch me..I told her she looked like she went to Great clips for a cut and stopped off at the drug store for a box of color. Then it started fading after a few weeks. I asked her what happened to her hair and she said it they put a toner on it when I researched toners I found it just fades out at every wash. So they charged her for trying to fix there mess. Almost 200 dollars and she came out looking like she went to a 5 and dime Salon.
Studio 59 will always be the Best of the Best in my book!. I have been a very happy and satisfied client of Studio 59 for the past 15 years. I am devoted to the outstanding, professional staff and the fabulous products. Dennis is just the most wonderful hairdresser ever as is Sharissa. I cannot say enough about Joan and Randy and their kindness to me. It is like walking into an oasis of luxury and goodness. I am treated like a cherished family member. I keep adding services to my repertoire so now Joan creates fantastic brows from my somewhat unruly natural ones and dear little Megan is just a master when it comes to giving a massage. I used to think massages were luxuries and I must now confess that I view them as a necessity. I have many issues with my cervical and lumbar spine and Megan has taken me from a place of pain, to one of wholeness and healing. For those of you wondering whether I sought out medical advice as well, yes, I did, and both my physical therapist and my orthopedic doctor highly recommend that I continue my massage therapy as a vital adjunct to an ongoing approach to good health. It is almost magical what a massage can do for healing one's body and restoring balance. Some of you have mentioned high prices and I wonder what salons you have visited for this comparison? I find Studio 59's prices to be comparable to other spa/salon's of the same ilk. You have to compare apples to apples. And don't forget...you get what you pay for, always. It is a free country which certainly includes freedom of speech, but I for one have never had a bad experience, bad moment, regret, or anything remotely negative happen to me while within the care of these wonderful souls. If you haven't visited and you are looking for a place to escape the drudgeries of the day, and be whisked away to a place of pampering and happiness, you must make an appointment without delay. You won't regret it. I always enter with a smile on my face and exit with an even bigger one. Life is short. Seize the things that make you happy. Studio 59 is on the top of my list!
outstanding facial. have used studio 59 for my haircuts, and my daughter's, and have always been pleased. yesterday, i had a facial there and was THRILLED! joan was clearly a professional with experience. i have had facials at several other spas here in the city as well as other places and have never had a facial this good. the price was easily comparable to what i've paid elsewhere, but the service? outstanding!!!! will definitely re-book.
Overpriced Spa, Underpaid Massage Therapists. I checked out this salon and spa as a possible place of employment part time for the holidays. I am an experienced massage therapist with a great resume. I began the interview process over a month ago and have spent over 4 hours being questioned, quizzed, and asked to give my services for free. Hours into the "interview process," I finally got them to tell me what they pay their massage therapists. It is the lowest wage I have ever heard of a therapist receiving: pretty outrageous, considering they have the highest rates in the entire city and surrounding area! They offer only a small hourly wage and absolutely NO commission whatsoever. I was shocked, and when I politely explained that I'd never heard of wages so low for a therapist (keep in mind that LMTs work extremely hard for their money, and that none of us plans on getting rich from the work), Randy, one of the owners of the spa, raised his voice at me and spoke rudely for the rest of the interview. I knew I could not accept the job. Three weeks later, after not hearing anything back from them, I found that they'd hired a therapist who'd graduated from school less than a month prior ro her hire date. They didn't want a skilled, experienced therapist like me who knew what their work was worth. They wanted someone they could take advantage of who didn't know any better! Disturbing, sad, and seemingly unlawful. I won't give these people a cent for products OR services, ever.
Holly Cow their prices are $$$$!. Haricut for medium length hair, nothing major, $75. All over highlights, two color $130. Hair protien, deep condition $50. Eyebrow wax $20. Tips: $40 Good techs but way overpriced for Chattanooga!! Some techs were less personable while others were very sweet. Really pushed there products....hard. (Although prices vary by tech)
Highly recommend. I love this salon. They have a very intelligent staff who know their products. I have to say Dennis is fabulous at what he does. He has been my stylist for a few years now and he takes the time to get to know your personality and LISTENS to what kind of style you are seeking. He is very talented and I would refer him to anyone.
avoid.
Too rude and overed priced. Hair color too red and cut too shaggy. Pushed salon products over and over.
Could not relax.
WOW...Great atmosphere. The best massage I've ever had! I was suprised to learn they were open on Monday's. I will definitely recommend Studio 59 to my friends.
