Amazing hotel and service

by Lakini

We had an amazing time at the Sheraton Read House on our weekend get-away. This hotel far surpasses some of the 4 stars I have stayed in... From historical ambiance to great service, we loved everything about this hotel! It is a convenient walk to the heart of Chattanooga, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff was wonderful. We were up-graded to a Jr suite even though I booked using priceline (and paid well below worth) for no reason at all! If you are looking for an ultra-trendy new hotel, go some place else. But if you want rich history, great service, and all the comforts of an old-style upscale hotel, I would only stay here!!!

  • Pros: friendly, upgraded for no reason!, historical
  • Cons: none

Do not waste your time and money!

Ok, so this lovely site wont let me put in the actual problems. Nice rating system. Take my word and the word of the guests of my wedding. Dont stay here. If you want real reviews go to Tripadvisor.

Event planning staff is awful

by chattanoogabride

We tried to plan our wedding here and had such awful service that we decided to do it somewhere else. I'm sure it is a good hotel to spend the night, but stay away if you want to plan an event. There are many beautiful and professional venues in Chattanooga that do a much better job and know what they are doing.

  • Pros: Fine for a hotel
  • Cons: Do not have an event here

Everything Great

by jfly519

I was passing through to visit a friend in Chattanooga. I stayed at this Sheraton. The staff and accomodations were great! From Starbucks in the lobby to the five star steak restaurant. I have never been so pleased and pampered. This was a hidden oasis in Chattanooga. I highly reccommend that you take the time to visit this historic establishment (I think it was formerly a Civil War hospital).
